Salmond invites his favoured media reporters to say he is resigning as First Minister and Leader of the SNP. Rather foolishly we thought he was bowing out gracefully. Since then he has been chirping away, ignoring the result of the referendum, threatening other ways for Scotland to get independent, even though the Scottish electorate rejected it, and generally playing the sore loser.
How can we gain independence from this arrogant, undemocratic and bitter, defeated individual?
Guardian Scotland correspondent Severin Carrell tweeted: “The Guardian declined its place at Alex Salmond’s post #indyref press conference after Scottish Govt insisted on picking Guardian reporter.”
And Scottish Daily Mail political editor Alan Rodin said: “Mail, Telegraph & Express excluded from Alex Salmond’s press conference. Guardian has turned down invite after Govt handpicked a journalist.”

In the case of the Telegraph, it could go back to the earlier mentioned Professor Qvortrup:
I would have thought the simplest way a Scotsman can gain independence from Alex Salmond would be to move to East Yorkshire. Do you know any Scotsman who has?

No problem, I wasn't busy
Not when the SNP changes the name of Scotland to Salmond.
Just because it can.
(In its opinion)
Ignore him. He'll be gone soon anyway.
He won't! He is staying on as an MSP.
What about his soon-to-be-published book which he has told us will be called "100 Days".
In fact, what was its title going to be had the Yes campaign won for surely that doesn't look like an original full title?
My bet is "100 Days To Freedom".
Anyhow, Asimbonanga.
(Translation -"We Haven't Seen Him")
His words will carry much less weight when he's no longer FM.
Read this then:

Not in his mind.:(
That depends entirely on Westminsters ability to keep to their promises.
But for how long?
Ah, but it appears they don't care too much about the results of democratic votes ;-)
Alex Salmond- My Struggle?
Alex Salmond - Swimming against the tide
Alex Salmond - The Man Who Would Be King
I reckon he might go for the more simple title "Madiba".
Alex Salmond - Made in Scotland from Girdles
Free press...? Now, that's funny....:D
I agree it would be good if Salmond did that. We can but hope.
I agree and Nicola Sturgeon (and the SNP) won't want a back seat driver.
Do you really think she will have a choice?
Why do you say that?
