Hi,
im looking to install some kind of speakers suitable for my bathroom / bedroom / study as well as a switching device, can only find this site so far

anyone any experience of this crowd or doing this kind of thing? or any advice at all before I go ahead and spend some hard earned dosh?

    I got some nice chrome ones from Cpc in Preston. I think they were about £23 pound for the pair and they sound pretty good to me

    Most ceiling speakers are just car speakers, painted white. You could always paint them yourself - just buy car speakers to suit your size and budget requirements, and spray the grilles.

    Another thing to watch out for....

    A lot of these devices are sold to the pro market for installations in offices, shops or anywhere someone wants to play music to the public. And so may be 100V line which would make them useless for hooking up to a normal HiFi amp.
