3. One of the female judges should get the groups, not Simon or Louis![
Definately, IMO the categories should be allocated like this next year:
Simon- Boys
Louis- Girls (he's never had them and he's been quite affectionate to Rebecca and Katie this year)
Danni- Groups (need a decent mentor to actually get a group to win)
Cheryl- Over 28s (she would crumble)
but as usual they will proably be done like this
Simon- Girls
Cheryl- Boys
Danni- Overs
Louis- Groups:rolleyes:
that was intentionally done to gain more media coverage.
absolutely no question that was the case. It created more media coverage and indirect promotion then any traditional marketing campaign could have possibly achieved!
For me it's the screaming audience. It seems worse than ever. What I can't understand is why no-one ever challenges them? Also, surely there's a way to adjust the sound so the judges' comments can be heard above it?
Less negative press about the acts. I hardly remember any negative press about the contestants in the earlier years - first act I remember getting really bad press was Diana.
Also lose Cheryl Cole - would probably raise the I.Q of the show and its viewers by about 20 .
Lol I think you seriously overestimate where the show's I.Q currently stands :D Your presence here alone suggests you could probably still watch even if it was raised by about 50 or so .
X Factor is the biggest show by far on British television. It's the most watched, the most talked about, the most written about, the most controversial. It's carefully planned to be like that. It's also the highest earning show on TV.
I don't think anyone senior at X Factor will be sitting down tomorrow night wondering where they went wrong this year.
Get rid of the singoff and the judges voting...Make it totally down to the public & bring back the loser singing a farewell song, I always loved watching them trying to sing while being all choked up.
Sort the sound out.
Sort the crowd out.
Sort the camerawork out.
Hire the choreographer of X Factor Australia and sack Brian Friedman.
Stop Cheryl's Nazi salute
No more novelty acts.
Make the over's younger.
Public vote for the 4 wildcards.
Stick to people who can actually sing, and have some music in their voices - totally agree with absolutely no more novelty acts like Wagner and Chico.
I really used to enjoy X factor because of the music and the singing, but this year has got to be the worst ever!
Remove the whole judges competition scenario. The judges have been voting for their own acts rather than the best acts meaning it's not been a talent competition at all.
Also get rid of Cheryl, she failed to vote at one point. Louis still voted when it was two of his acts.
To me to be a fair competition you need to remove biased judges.
Therefore number one is remove Simon Cowell for starters.
And then have a show where the public can vote who they think would be the fairest judges in the land....and then let the show ask them if they would like to participate.
I'm not saying that this would eliminate Simon Cowell's manipulations, because there's no way on earth on this earth of doing so.
But at least it would look like a more realistic panto.
I think they need to change the judges categories, maybe mix it up so that they all have one of each section to mentor. I think it's daft that someone always gets 'the best category' and someone else gets stuck with the 'weakest category' where they have no chance of winning. Maybe they can decide who the final 16 are going to be and then mix it up so they all get one group, one girl, one boy, and one over 28. That way the judges will have to do something different with each act they have rather than be stuck with the same thing all the time.
I LOOOOOVE this idea!!
A lot of things really annoyed me on X Factor this year. The most obvious thing that needs to be sorted out is what to do in deadlock situations, or in 'Waissel' situations when you constantly get a contestant in the bottom 2 or who is unpopular. People keep saying lose a judge or add another so there is no deadlock, but then you'd also be losing or adding catagories.
Also, someone mentioned on another thread that the auditions/boot camp footage of 2 members of One Direction may never have aired; I think if the judges are going to put groups together from rejected contestants, we should at least see their auditions/boot camp footage, especially when there's so much absolute rubbish on the audition shows.
On that note, I don't think we need weeks and weeks and weeks of audition shows, they seemed to drag on forever this year... though I know some people like them so hard to call whether to cut them down.

Just go to America & stay there!!:)

Thats me gone then

Give Cheryl the over's
I'd like to see Dannii get the groups - I think she's the best mentor and could handle them.
Get rid of the audience at the auditions (too much influence)
Make Sunday's show shorter - like maybe only 1 guest act rather than 3 - its always so dragged out.
Get a new Xtra Factor presenter.

Ant & Dec can do it, so why can't Dermot?
Loool

Lol @ hate. Also iirc correctly, this logic would have sent Ruth Lorenzo home after her performance of Purple Rain...

Quieter backing tracks - for the same reason as above.
Shut the effing crowd up.
The judges must give constructive feedback instead of just fawning over clearly awful performances by the favourites.
The judges must vote, even if both their acts are in the bottom two.
Should draw names out of a hat to decide running order every week to stop the same people getting the pimp slot.

.... have 2 voting numbers for each contestant, one to save and one to eliminate.
That could be interesting. Cowell is such a sad control freak, though, that his shows are now past saving.
It might work for a different show though.
Yep.....it's like after the horse bolted all to save Simon Cowell's arse.
Too late is what I say. Simon failed big time
I.e. ...let him wrangle out of a USA panel asking him what 'fix' means
The manipulation/changing of rules to suit.
