I just noticed this while flicking through the tv guide they're showing it at 9:10 am and then a repeat at 3pm. They're starting from Season 4 Episode 1. I think this is because Pick Tv were showing it recently and I think that's where they got up to.

Edit - Scratch that, E4 HD has got them in a smaller ratio but regular E4 is in widescreen.
There are widescreen versions of the show.
They are showing it in widescreen on E4 as I said in my post, but strangely you left that part out of your quote.
Pick TV is up to season 3 and the show is returning where it left off on Pick TV on Monday.
Actually, the latter seasons were filmed in W/S. (From S5 on I think! (Or possibly S4, according to your post ) I had simply forgotten that fact Sorry
I actually think the show got even better when Paige came into it
Not at all
Season 8 was met with serious budget cuts, hence why Leo was only in a short amount of episodes. They could barely afford to keep the show on the air, so a Season 8 was really a blessing.
Lol, not true.
The 3 main actors had no choice but to do it, they were under contract. Season 8 was the last year on their contract so they always knew that was the end and all 3 of them said in interview they had no interest in continuing after that season.
They just didn't know whether the show would continue for that final year or be cancelled after season 7.
One of the conditions the network gave Brad Kern for spending money on another season would be to give them a possibility for a spin off so he introduced Billie as a possible spin off character. Obviously it wasn't popular and that never came to be.
The budget got cut too, which is why Leo and Darryl were dropped from the regular cast and I remember Kern said he took money from his own paycheck to try and up the budget for the effects in the final episode.
True story.
You could really skip season 8 & not really miss anything.
Two of the three of my fave episodes came from the first 3 seasons... one of them being the last episode of S3. My other favourite is when they all lose one of their senses, I think it's in S5.
I stand (sit) corrected.
Feeling done with a series but being required to do another season cos your contract demands it must be a weird position to be in, but I guess, being actors, they're able to push down any "I really don't want to be hear" feelings so they don't show onscreen.
Didn't something similar happen with Paget Brewster on Criminal Minds - thinking she was free but having to return for S7 cos her contract required it. Must have made all those "Paget returns from the dead, yay" interviews she gave, an interesting experience.
I never understood that, surely Aaron Spelling could of looked down the back of his couch for some spare cash. Or was he dead by then?
Well I think the woman playing Piper still enjoyed it, but I always thought it was obvious that Rose McGowan was bored rigid from season 6 onwards. She later said she cried every time the show was renewed. But I'm sure all the cash helped her cope.
Also, i think the reason they only show the programme from when paige came into it is something to do with shannen docherty? Living often only played from series 3/4 onwards (unsure when prue die abd paige came into it). I know they did sometimes play the ones with prue in it, but not very often whih is what always made me think it was to do with shannen docherty.
It's because Pick TV bought the rights to seasons 1-3, which ran out at a separate time to 4-8 which E4 have bought (presuming E4 have bought more than just season 4).
Lol.
