If Roxy Music never existed, then music over the subsequent years would have sounded very different. Even Bowie ripped them off fgs! And admitted it :D

Bowie's always been a rip-off artist. Doesn't make Bryan Ferry's last 20 years of output influential or noteworthy.

She's not just a friend of his son though, she's an ex-girlfriend of his son. That must be a bit weird.
So she shaggged them both :D:D, wonder if bryan will ask her, how was my son in bed

I was talking about early Roxy Music, in reply to someone foolishly stating that Ferry was talentless.

Bryan Ferry looks like my auntie Rose.
Except she's not been in a band or has a massive fan following.

Is she also your Uncle and do you come from Norfolk?

What utter bollocks. Bryan is one of the most innovative & influential musicians and lyricists this country has produced. If Roxy Music never existed, then music over the subsequent years would have sounded very different. Even Bowie ripped them off fgs! And admitted it :D

Listen to his 2010 album Olympia. The best thing he's done in years. :)

    Roxy Music - Ladytron - 1972

    Japan
    Talking Heads
    Devo
    Duran Duran
    Depeche Mode
    The Smiths
    Radiohead
    Ladytron

Just a few of the acts influenced by Roxy.

The tracks Ladytron, Remake Remodel, Song for Europe, In Every Dream Home a Heartache, are light years ahead of their time. Ferry was brilliant though he went off a bit in the Eighties and never really recovered that early glory (in my opinion). Andy Mackay was great too. Wonder whatever happened to him?

The age difference doesn't bother me at all, but the fact that someone would want to marry into the hideous fox-hunting Ferry family shows extreme bad taste.

I don't think he's had an original hit since Slave to Love and Don't Stop the Dance, in 1985, has he?

I thought he wrote Is Your Love Strong Enough? from '86 not sure though, also think he co-penned Kiss And Tell from '87 wasnt much of a hit though
Anyone recall when Bryan was a passenger on a hijacked plane few years back?
