Didn't realise Elvis was in the Top Ten in 1980

And the whole show comes with a thick topping of cheese!

Spoke too soon! Though to be fair, this is a classic cheesy pop song that I can enjoy in a dance round the kitchen sort of way.

I don't remember seeing the Jam on any TOTP - did I miss it - I would've liked to see them.

The video for 'Start' was shown twice. The week it was No.1 was a DLT edition so BBC4 didn't show that one.

What a night! I liked every song so far, and ONJ + Wonder Woman!

We just need Ver Legs to show up now.

They're on the picket line preventing good people from working ,the communists.>:(>:(

Kelly Marie "outsold The Jam" you know. I don't think she's lingered in the memory of most people quite as long however. Good number 1 though, nothing wrong with the odd bit of cheesy pop.

Don't actually mind this Kelly Marie song. Agree with the others who say it was a strong top 10

I think Kelly set the template for gay disco for the rest of the decade to come....

She's so greasy looking. You could cook chips on her face.

When you look at the songs in that chart - so many that are still enjoyed today. How many of an average week in the charts now will be remembered?

Well, if that's our lot for a while then that was a pretty decent way of signing off. 9/10. On the whole a great show.

Hmm...I reckon that'd be Mr Giorgio Moroder and Mr Patrick Cowley.

Is TOTP on a break now? The Proms, I presume?

Decent show tonight, although slightly disjointed with the mini interviews.

On a completely separate note, before the show comes back I'll be doing a charity thing. I'll being going around all 270 stations of the London Underground in one day in aid of The Psoriasis Association.

If you would like to donate you can simply text: SKIN90 £1 to 70070

    Cheers.

I guess only time will tell, but its a good point and I suspect the answer is "not too many". ;-)
