Didn't see a thread on this so I started one
So I've noticed that fran isn't quiet understand the role of a care giver. The point is to facilitate your employer to live a life exactally as they would choose if they didn't need care. They're free to do what they wish as long as it's within the law and it's all about their right to choose with out having the care giver dictating to their employer what they thinks right or wrong.
The trip to Amsterdam was his trip that she as his employee came along on (paid for by him). It wasn't a couples retreat, he wanted to sleep with a prostitute. Something a few lads of his age choose to do, but no...the feminist wasn't happy with that and so he didn't.
That's not her job. It pisses me off. Having been a care giver I know we are there to help facilitate the wishes and needs of our employer.
Silly girl.

I didn't think Josh and his carer were well suited and was surprised he chose her.
I'm pleased the guy from last week had found a suitable carer though I did feel sorry for the girl who he did have, she seemed out of her depth.
I agree with striing that the employers also had a lot to learn.
Perhaps he would have been better off with a lad.
Read the headline and thought that some are dead and the rest locked up. :-)
My thought entirely. She should have put her personal opinions to one side and let Josh get on with it if that's what he wanted to do.
I found the way she treated him really upsetting. I was worried watching the show about the psychological damage it may cause the disabled employers if their the PA wasn't understanding.
Did she not hear what he said about people not wanting to have sex with disabled people? That was heart-breaking. She should be more understanding of his situation and respect his decision to sleep with whoever he wants to.
Also, I teared up when he said that the way he speaks to girls (the off colour comments) is a defence against being rejected, because he's used to it.
And like you say, it's not a holiday for her. I couldn't believe it when she was listing the things she wanted to. He was paying her to go, he's her employer.
It's possible that his hypersexual language and lack of tact could be down to his brain injury. People can lose their 'brain filter'.
There's an interesting article here about disabled people and sex workers.

Here's an instance of a carer enabling their client to sleep with a sex worker.
"He was totally dependent on his carer, but thankfully she was in on the secret. When I arrived we gave each other this look that said we both knew what was going to happen. She had bathed him, taken great care to make sure he was clean, and she had to give me the money. Without her it wouldn't have happened for him."
