Oh, it's definitely one of 'those' threads, considering what the OP posted on sofabet:

Also, belated apologies fo not introducing myself. I find this site fascinating, much more interesting that most of the stuff posted about X-Factor. I’ve been something of a provocateur on DS but will try to curb those instincts here."
I noticed that too on sofabet.
Jessica - it's against the T&Cs of the site to provoke people into arguments and you've gone and admitted that you do on sofabet that that's what you do on this site. It's not really fair and it's rather disruptive. I don't mind a little discussion but it always descends into chaos and antagonizes people.
Imo they spent too much time singing individually. I like the voice of the one with the big curly hair - she should have been a solo singer. But somehow they just didn't come across as very likable or cohesive. Plus there is the whole pregnancy thing. On TV this morning she was saying it had been planned so as not to interfere with the performance dates. Planned? Shouldn't this be against the rules? She might think she has got it all worked out but who knows what the impact will be. Plus she is messing with the careers of the others.
They've been saying they are going to stick together yadda yadda, Yeah right. Might be worth a punt at the betting shop
With a good song, a decent arrangement and a chance to interact without being on stupid podia they were a class act.
The individual vocals highlighted their strengths and differences (and their strengths are considerable - they are each a match if not an improvement on Tamera and Hannah) and their harmonies were excellent.
Obviously the most talented and cohesive group in the competition by a country mile.
All that has happened by expelling them is make the competition more mediocre and predictable. If TPTB had been smart we could have been playing "when are they going to dump the pregnant girl" for at least 4 more weeks.
erm no, they were categorically out of tune. There's no two ways about it. Sese's solo was technically flat, her voice was cracking and screeching all over the place. And Harmonies?! what harmonies?! they harmonised for about 10seconds and if you listen carefully the tuneful part of the harmonising was done by the backing track! They are not cohesive in the slightest, there was no sense of continuity between their individual parts they looked and performed like 3 solo artists. Perhaps they had potential to be better than that but they clearly did not put the time and effort in and the results were painfully obvious.

They did really well in the sing-offs but overall they weren't great. They still need to work on their harmonies but once they have got that right, they will sound good on a consistent level
I thought they were poor in the singoff - I thought that their harmonies were all over the show. So too was Hannah. Wouldn't have been any loss if they both went.
And not a very smart one. If you're going to post on a site that is frequented by a lot of DS members, and boast about how you are a 'provocateur' on the DS forums, then at least change your name...

Thank you for that as I know you were witness to a thread we both participated where she said we were bulling her off the board because we choose to question why she was posting on the X factor thread when she seemed to dislike it so much. The hissy fit that was thrown was her way if winding up posters I now see and intended to get people either banned or to make them stop posting entirely. The sheer amount if threads created, and all with a negative connotation astounded me but after seeing that the poster has described themselves as a provocateur I am positive that she is just trying to bait people and it is not on, but prepare yourself for a hissyfit when they return.
They sang well in the sing-off but they still came across as 3 solo singers rather than a proper group. I feel a bit for them though. Even the best singers in the world couldn't do much with the 2 duff songs they were given on the live shows.
Independent thinking is fine. It is what allows you to be the only person in the whole of the UK to believe that Miss Dynamix were any good. It is also what allows David Icke to believe the earth was created by a 900 foot chicken.
With lack of evidence to support either claim,I'm more inclined to believe that a giant chicken created the universe than that Mzd Contraception weren't out of tune.
Hmmm...Icke should be on the judges panel next season. He was a radio anouncer before he allegedly started to have transmissions and relations with aliens. Could be entertaining
Did they really want it though?? They gave up the opportunity to perform on live show 2.... zillions of other contestants would give their right arm for their spot, the wanted paid 250k for that exposure and MD gave it away and with it their right to remain in the competition.
That and Ceces poor family planning and history of panic attacks, they do not have what it takes to win and be successful after the show.
Having said that I would rather have listened to their performances for a few more weeks than Abis nervous wimpering. Hope the public put her ot of her misery soon.

She told me she was doing it because she was "bored."
Ho-hum..I have my (very) cynical moments, but I do try to take people at face value and try to discuss with them accordingly, well, you live and learn.
I suppose some people find this sort of thing "entertaining."
I've heard the expression "don't feed the trolls," perhaps ignoring any threads started by a certain person would be the answer! :O)
There are plenty of legitimate discussions going on here.

I agree and I do I just had to post this time because after aforementioned hissyfit I asked the poster to put me on ignore but they then threw a hissyfit about that as if they couldn't use the ignore button. It was all very tedious and I enjoy this board a lot but thee poster gets me down.
That said I really should let this thread get back on topic and just say the decision was the right one in thus instance even if the OP believes differently. If the final vote was based on their performance it was the right decision to send out miss dynamix ( I will not subscribe to this notion of using silly nicknames)
I just got bored with opinions stated with nothing to back them up, and the rudeness to a few other posters .
The thought of a 900 foot chicken creating the universe amuses me though. MAybe it created XFactor, too....MAybe... ...MAybe LOUIS is actually the giant chicken!!!!

So, then this is all his fault?!! X Factor, this thread, the whole Dynamix drama, the universe, Simon's inability to wear anything other than those *&^%$ing tee shirts....EVERYTHING???

Oh, I don't know, I'm not averse to the odd nickname, if it's meant in gentle jest
But yes, it is a legitimate discussion, regardless of the actual opinions/intentions of the OP and I totally agree with you that they should've gone out..

I kind of agree with you OP. Although I can see why they went, it did seem illogical that, no matter how good someone has been previously, you can blub through the last quarter of your song and still get through! That might sound harsh, but if the sing-off was truly judged as a sing-off then Hannah would have gone IMO.

Is that street speak or a typo, do you think?

I have no idea. Maybe it's all part of being a 'provocateur'.

"provocateur", is that a troll in fancy knickers?
But yes. And a transparent one at that.

Bit smug too, I thought.
