Hello everyone! Here is a thread for tonight's premiere episode of The X Factor: Series 11.

Judges
Simon Cowell
Cheryl Fernandez-Visini
Mel B
Louis Walsh

Host
Dermot O'Leary

Contest stage
Closed-room auditions

Broadcast
Sat 30th August, 8.00-9.25PM on ITV/ITV HD

Next episode
Tomorrow, Sun 31st August, 8.00-9.00PM on ITV/ITV HD

Having grown bored of the show after Simon/Cheryl/Dannii left, I am very excited to see how the show feels with Simon and Cheryl back, and Mel B completing the panel.

Has potential to be a classic lineup (Louis thinks it's the show's best ever), and with Simon back I bet the show is more enjoyable overall (not just because of his appearance on-camera, but his influence off-camera).

Less than 6 hours to go until tonight's 90-minute opener!!! :)

It really feels like autumn (my favourite time of year) is just around the corner now that The X Factor is back. Still can't believe we're at this point in the year already. :o:D

    Looking forward to the show!

I know, 2014 has seriously whizzed past for me as well... What's going on? :D I love Autumn best too, beautiful falling leaves, everything settling down a bit and the nights drawing in.

The countdown to Christmas is finally underway

Are we using this thread for tomorrow's show as well?

Like the fact they are spreading out the auditions out over weekends, saves time so we get to Bootcamp, Judges Houses and the lives quicker

I think another thread for tomorrow's episode :) I don't mind making it tomorrow if no one else wants to / does.

It IS the countdown to Christmas... :p :kitty:

I get the nice autumn feeling when X Factor returns too. Looking forward to tonight's show - pleased that the closed room auditions are still there. The arena bit is ok, but I prefer the closed room auditions.

Are they really going to call her Cheryl Fernandez-Bustini or whatever it is now each episode? Or just stick to her Cole surname?

I hope for the former, Cheryl Fernandez has more of a zing to it.

As for the starter post, I'm more of the opposite, I bet the show is going to to be far more 2010-ish manipulated with those two back on the panel. As for the talent, I wouldn't get our hopes up, most of them will be cut long before the live shows as always.

Currently watching the ITV2 stuff - some of the scarily offkey auditions...

Evening all. Looking forward to seeing Simon back.

Wish they hadn't lowered the age limit down to 14 though. Kids are a pain and need their egos molly-coddling too much to be entertaining. >:(

Must admit i stopped watching it after Simon and Cheryl left so will definitely be watching tonight.

A wise move on Cowell's part as the ratings were undoubtedly going down. Like him or loathe him he really does bring in the viewer audience.

I once watched a documentary he made about his 'life story'. He's actually quite funny and indulges a lot of self deprecating humour. Worships the ground his mother walks on and his brother, who looks nothing like him.....has the identical voice. It was weird to hear!

X Factor hasn't been the same since Cheryl & Simon left so I am excited for tonight!! :D

I won't hate on 2011 too much though purely because it gave us Little Mix and they are brilliant!!

    30mins to go!! :)

2011 had so much potential but the production of the show was a disaster and it's never recovered since. Will tonight be the start of the comeback?
