I have two, pulled pork sandwiches, and these:

Walnut, caramel and chocolate tarts. Scroll down for the English!

What is everyone else gearing up to try to make?

Gonna be ambitious and try a Birthday cake with Buttercream and Fondant icing. I've been watching too many bakers on TV & Youtube and with the exception of The Great British Bake Off they make it look reasonably easy, still I'm pretty much convinced it'll be a bit of a disaster but I've gotta try it :)

I'm going to try corned beef, needs to cure for a little so am going to time it for next weekend.

Cakes are good, make a little sugar syrup to glaze over once cool. Extra moist, i flavour with vanilla.

    Good luck.

My next thing to try is a banana but I am waiting until I feel brave enough, my allergist has suggested do it early morning as ambulances are easier to get before the rush hour. Which hasn't given me much confidence she is right when she says I may be able to eat them.

Thanks. The cake is the relatively easy part, I'm sure I'll get that right, it's the crumb coating and the messing about with fondant that I think I'll mess up. Still I've got over a month to get it right.

Flan Parisien. I would make a trip to France just for them!

The recipie seems so simple, but it didn't work out for me first time around - egg mixture became scrambled when baking.

The bulgur wheat is great - tho' I'm up to my eyeballs in it. Try the brown bulgur it's far healthier. Pomegranate molasses drizzled over it/ thro' it is nice too.:)

I adore mushrooms/fungi so I'd love to try truffle if I could.
