Not bad , unless you understand they are vastly overpriced so they can discount the product

Well they're struggling to sell them any other way.
    More Sky greed?
They want your extra subscription money, that'll soon rake them the £300 back.

Wonder if you will have to keep the 3D for a full 12 months?
If so then its not so good.

    Isn't the 3D free anyway?.

Not quite, I have both movies and sports but had to upgrade to Sky World (i.e. the full package), then 3D is 'free'.

It only cost me an extra £2/month as the only packs I didn't have were Kids and Music.

But hey - I can now watch unlimited (c)rap music videos and Spongebob Squarepants

It could be 50% off and I still wouldn't buy one - LG's have the passive glasses and compared to active models they aint that good. I have a samsung active glasses 3D set in the house and it blows away the passive LG's in the pubs. I wonder what Sky are getting to promote these inferior models???

The 47" and 55" LX9900 models are part of this offer thingy and they are active sets. Then again they cost over 2 grand so £300 ain't much of a discount really.

Then they will be free with 10 tokens from Shredded Wheat!

Still can't see 3D taking off in a mainstream way, then noe doubt there will be a passive/active war, like Betamax/VHS and BluRay/HDDVD.

Maybe they should have thought about 3D before HD? then when they pushed HD ? not wait until many have bought into HD.

And of course a vast swathe of the UK are not even interested in HD !

    £2000 will buy you a 65inch Samsung....

    £1000 will buy you a 50inch Samsung....

So, the LG offer doesn't appeal in the slightest....

I've only had Panasonic HD TV for 8 months and not interested at all in 3D. I consider Sky Movies a rip-off anyway so will never subscribe. There's no reason why Sky's conditional access can't black out the 3D channel on a per-programme basis, they're just trying to squeeze as much as possible from customers.
