Thomson 6021-50 Weak Signals?
Trying to sort out son's TVs in new house.
Aerial connected to Thomson DTI 6021-50 and then into new Sony TV.
Sony TV gets a near full set of channels (ITV 3 not so good) but DTI 6021 hardly gets any. Doing a rescan on the 6021 and selecting signal strength on the blue button Tuner 1 has only one channel with much sign of a signal and Tuner 2 has no sign of any signal at all!
Have taken the 6021 back to my own house and connected it to another Sony TV. A few more channels on the 6021 but not particularly watchable!
I'm veering towards a fault of some sort with the Thomson. Maybe they only work with a perfect aerial but it is strange that the Sonys seem to receive 99% of what is out there with a common input.
Any suggestions, folks?! I still have that nagging feeling that unless the transmitter is quite close by then satellite is the way forward but would like to get this problem solved first if possible.
