    Glad to see Virgin were good with some people in difficult circumstances.

    When my father died my parents package was in his name. They joined what was then Yorkshire Cable in 1995 and had been on a loyalty package. It was in his name so as executer of his estate I went to move it to my 80 year old mothers name. Virgin kindly put the package UP £5 per month because she was no longer qualified for loyalty discount!!! Despite numerous calls they absolutely refused to budge. They couldn't understand that a single widow has less money than a couple!

    It was only because my mother didn't want the hassle of having to have new stuff put in that stopped her from cancelling all together.

    She has broadband and phone line only - but what was even more amazing is that in each call they gave me a different price! How do they manage that for something so simple? I like to think I am fairly bright and follow these things but I struggled and I hate to think what would have happened if my mum had to deal with it herself......

    I can honestly say the compassion shown was zero.
