I'm looking for a TV and need some help. Want a Sony most likely as we've always had Sonys. 40" is the size.
Don't want to spend anymore than £750 really.
Thanks

Picture quality is superb, and if you have internet access you can take advantage of online features and content (very US biased at the moment though), including accessing other networked equipement in your house and view/listen to their media content.
It also has Freeview HD built in too.
Available for £699, best deal at John Lewis as they also give free 5 year warranty
Have a look

I was also looking at that TV. However that one review said the sound quality is bad as the speakers are positioned badly. What do you make of the sound quality?
I find the sound is more than good enough for me and my family watching tv in general. I suppose it depends on what your room size/layout is like.
I run the sound through my AV amp if I want more oomph for a tv program or DVD.
To be honest, it is a much better tv all round compared to my 3 year old Philips LCD. The HD picture quality is outstanding.
