Think I'll Sky + and FF through the large amount of dull stuff associated with this show. Kirsty and Phil on Ch 4 are my prefered viewing tonight.

Same, i'll probably Sky+ it and fast forward through a lot of it. Only a couple of performances I'm interested in seeing (Coldplay and Kings of Leon), and I too think James Cordon is a bit of a wally.

Is it recorded 15 minutes ahead of the TV broadcast to take out the bad language?

The Brits always promises to be never less than entertaining, and whether I want to hang out with James Corden socially or not, (and I don't), he's always good value for money comedy-wise on shows like Buzzcocks - so I'll be watching, with an open mind about his presenting skills.

I will be watching, always the best and most entertaining awards show of the year
Also love the presenters this year but I think they have some of the nominees very wrong

    No, Its live, live.

They've been doing 3 days of rehearsals to get it right.

I've just seen the list of nominees, I won't be watching it.
The fact that the awful, bland and boring Coldplay are on is enough to stop me watching.

I see the Pet Shop Boys are getting a Life Time achievement award, and while I don't begrudge them it, it does make me wonder if Vince Clarke is ever going to be rewarded for his 30 years of service to the electro-pop movement, or if not being part of the cool brigade will continue to count against him...

    Lol....:D

I'm no fan of Coldplays either, but to be fair Viva la vida' was a damn good song, I wouldn't object to it winning best single, especially if it stops one or two of the other songs on the shortlist winning...;)

I also think it's become the cool thing to sneer at Coldplay since they became such a globally successful band.

I think they are pretty harmless bunch really, I tend to think of them as a modern day post-Peter Gabriel Genesis....mostly bland but with the odd moment of inspiration.

Hard decision to make whether to watch or not. Corden is one of the people that most annoys me on tv whereas I love Kylie. Hard choice to make.

I love Kylie but I hate award shows so I'll probably give it a miss anyway.

    Paul Weller
    Will Young

    Best British female

    Estelle
    MIA

    Best British group
    Coldplay
    Elbow
    Girls Aloud
    Radiohead
    Take That

    Best British live act
    Coldplay
    Elbow
    Iron Maiden
    Scouting For Girls
    The Verve

    Best British single
    Coldplay - Viva La Vida
    Duffy - Mercy
    Girls Aloud - The Promise
Leona Lewis - Better in Time
    Scouting for Girls - Heartbeat

    Best British Album
Coldplay - Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends
    Duffy - Rockferry
Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid
    Radiohead - In Rainbows
The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing

    Best British breakthrough act
    Adele
    Duffy

I think several of those may not be right, actually.

I think Paul Weller will win British male, Duffy will win British Female, Iron Maiden will take the live band award, coldplay will win the best single (the latter two are public votes and it's about having an organised fan-base more than anything).

eta: and I think Elbow will take the Best album award.
