Thanks to everyone who voted in Round Fifteen :)

We have two ties this time around. In joint top place with votes from 41.18% of you we wave goodbye to Steven Carter and Emma whilst Evan Sharman and Johnny Davies are tied in third place.

But, as always it's cumulative votes that count so it's Evan Sharman who gets the chop.

Well done to
+dgembadgemba,
+ KrisHayward,
+ Shinyteapot

and
+ Solamenn
who all managed to get two out of the three evictees.

None of the evicted characters were part of anyone's Predictions on the first leaderboard so it remains unchanged.....

Here's the question for this round:

Should Alice Carter return for the next season and should Jack face feelings of guilt over Steven?

As with the last round you need to pick which of the four characters listed below you like the least then post your votes on this thread or send them to me via PM. The three with the most votes will be evicted from the game. If you'd like any that aren't evicted to roll forward into the next round all you need to do is type "auto" with your votes & any that have Survived will automatically roll forward into the next round. In the event of a tie-break cumulative votes will be taken into account.

So, it's on with the game then. Time to pick your four least favourite characters from:-

02) Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles)

wow, shocked Johnny was so close to being voted out! He was brilliant in CoE, that line when he tells Rhiannon she's the only family Ianto has, and his courage at the end taking a stand against the army who want to take the kids are really strong moments. I think he is one of the most rounded characters RTD has created.

    Anyway Old votes:

    Rupesa Patanjai (Rik Makarem)
    Tommy Brockless (Anthony Lewis)

    New votes:
Aaron Copley (Alan Dale) - I thought the character was good, but I have this problem with Alan Dale as I can't see past his unintentionally hilarious death scene in Neighbours! :o
Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) - I just felt her apperence in TW was a bit underwhelming, tbh.

RK - I voted for Emma & Steven last round? Just want to make sure my votes were counted rather than worried about my name not being in lights... ;)

So Evan has gone - would have liked to see him last longer.

Good question, RK - Yes, I'd like to see an Alice/Jack face off at some point.

    Votes:
    Old:
    Small Worlds: Estelle (Eve Pearce)
Small Worlds: Jasmine Pierce (Lara Phillipart)

    New:
Reset: Aaron Copley (Alan Dale) - considering it was Alan Dale, I was hoping for more from this character.

    Johnny Davies (Rhodri Lewis)

Same as last time for me please RK

I would like Alice to return at some point but it would have to be sooner rather than later. Jack could be just about getting over what he had done and then she comes back into his life and pushes him over the edge again.

    08) Suzie Costello (Indira Varma)

    27) Denise Riley (Deborah Findlay)

    19) Adrift: Nikki Bevan (Ruth Jones)

    28) Rupesa Patanjai (Rik Makarem)

As for Alice, I think it'd have to be integrated tightly into the plot to be working.
If Jack facing his guilt was a situation too quickly solved, it wouldn't seem very believable ("You killed my son ! - Yeah, sorry, I had to. - Ok then..." ). But on the other hand, if Jack's guilt were to last (as it should because that's not the kind of guilt you overcome with six month of travelling and a trip among the stars, I think, particularly if you face the mother, your own daughter, afterwards !) it could seriously put a damper on the plot.

I thought I got 2 out of 3 as well - hope my votes have counted!

This time round, it's the chop for:

    Small Worlds: Estelle (Eve Pearce)
Small Worlds: Jasmine Pierce (Lara Phillipart)
Out of Time: John Ellis (Mark Lewis Jones)
    Rupesa Patanjai (Rik Makarem)

I'm a bit surprised John Ellis was the last man standing from Out of Time TBH but that's the way it goes I suppose!

    Regards
    Karen

Personally I'm not at all surprised that he was the last one left from that episode :)

Damn and I was doing so well and on a tie breaker too because I liked Johnny! I'll lose the rest soon I expect

    12) Small Worlds: Estelle (Eve Pearce)
    18) Reset: Aaron Copley (Alan Dale)
    28) Rupesa Patanjai (Rik Makarem)
    14) Out of Time: John Ellis (Mark Lewis Jones)

As for Alice I would have her back and I always wondered about her and Johnson as there was some chemistry between them before Steven's death or is that just me!
    Damn RTD and his agendas!

    Same for me:

    10) Captain John Hart (James Marsters)

    19) Adrift: Nikki Bevan (Ruth Jones)

    15) Captain Jack Harkness: Captain Jack Harkness ~ The Captain (Matt Rippy)

    01) Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman)

I would like to see Alice return (soon), too.

I agree, he was the best by a mile. The scene were he talks to his son, and then the scene in the car are two of the best and most poignant moments in Torchwood ever.

I forgot about the question, and while I think it would be good to see this at some point, I think holding it back a series would make it more meaningful, get Jack in a place where he is starting to feel okay again and then wham!

I agree with the praise for John Ellis, best non-recurring character of series 1 in my opinion.

    Round 15:
    15) Captain Jack Harkness: Captain Jack Harkness ~ The Captain (Matt Rippy)
    30) Johnny Davies (Rhodri Lewis)

    New:
    13) Small Worlds: Jasmine Pierce (Lara Phillipart)- well acted, but less impact than others who remain.
    28) Rupesa Patanjai (Rik Makarem)- nice twist that he didn't turn out to be the obvious new TW doctor, but other than that fairly bland.

I'd quite like to see Alice back at some point, though it would have to be through co-incidence as I can't imagine she'd choose to see Jack again. Preferably after quite a long time has passed from Jack's perspective (he could travel the universe for a few hundred years then return to Cardiff 2010), so he's dealt with the guilt and is getting on with life, only to have it all brought up again.
