Yes, they did, because they had already shown it before the break in the series. They showed episodes 1-3, then episode 8, then when they resumed they started with episodes 4-7 and then went on to episode 9.

Thanks for the explanation, but it doesn't make sense why Five would show an episode from later in the season first (episode 8), instead of showing episode 4 next.
OT: Hopefully Five will start showing Law & Order's 18th season after Criminal Intent finishes.
Anybody else happy this is back on Five.? great episode last night...sad for Ross but great to have Goren and zach together....the bad guys have no chance with those two! :-)
Universal had/still have first run UK rights on Law and Order: CI and Law and Order: SVU. Five has the terrestrial UK first run rights.
Universal will air the second half of the current latest SVU series as aired in the US from later on this month (the first half aired up to Christmas). Five are a year or two away from showing that one as yet.

Used to watch it regularly, but got a bit lost and mixed up with different series on different channels and it seeming to stop and start etc.
So if they are new to the UK might see what happens at the end.
