Strange telephone call from claims dept in Manchester

I received a telephone call from a Manchester number the other night. Now I know that when I get an 0161 number call, it nearly always means someone's trying to sell me something or get something out of me, so I just tapped answer on my phone and listened:
Her: 'Hello, is that Mr ICUDO'
Me: 'Uh huh?'
Her: 'Pun'...[hangs up phone]
To say I was a bit confused is an understatement, so I phoned the number back and got a male answerphone voice telling me that I was recently called about a non-urgent matter and could chose to have my details removed from their system if I wished.
Well, ok, thanks for that, but what the hell was she talking about?
