Thanks for the thread Jack :)

Boyfriend and I have been out for tea and have just managed to get back in time for tonight's episode.

Speaking of t'show I had lunch today with my mother and some of her friends. One of them, watches Emmerdale and was telling me how her mother was friends with the Grandmother of one of the current writing / scripting team {I'm naming no names!! ;)}.

Anyway, on a visit to said writer's home city about 4 or 5 weeks ago said writer asked the person who was being visited what they thought about Emmerdale at the moment.

The lady told said writer that she wasn't interested in any of the storylines and that it was all a bit rubbish! :D

Said writer replied that the team were working very hard on the storylines and that it would be "getting more exciting" very soon.

So, even though SB thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread and everything is rosy in the garden there's at least one person on the writing / scripting team who has had some honest feedback! ;)

    Evening all! :D:):D

Evening RK ;) That's good news, then :)

    I LOVE that story1
And I LOVE that Lady who told the writer the truth.

Let's hope the writing DOES improve.

    I hope so too.

But I think SB has to accept the ultimate responsibility for what we see. He decides what storylines go ahead and which don't. What characters get killed and which get introduced.

The writer's must get some sort of brief to write from ~ they're not free to go off and write whatever they want...

I bought some Florentines to replace the ones I scoffed.
But they were calling to me so I've had to open them and scoff some more.

The way i see it he gets the credit when it goes well so he should get the blame when it dosnt!
