Okay I have some more questions (again :D).

How come the Europa League and Premier League are on at the same time?
How is it decided which players will play in which league?
What is "coefficient"? I read that it's decided who will qualify for the Europa by their "coefficient qualifications". I thought it was just made up of teams who couldn't get into Champions League?
What does it mean when you "loan" a player to another team?
Why were there so much transfers yesterday when the Premier League had already started?
    And could someone explain the sorts of formations for example 4 - 3 - 2 - 1?

I actually have more questions but think that will do for today. :D

The 'coefficient' is the statistical working outs which determine how many teams each country can get into the European competitions........for example England will have a certain coefficient which means they can enter 3 teams into the Champions league, one team into Champions League pre-qualifying and 3 teams into the Europa League

That would be similar for all the big countries.......England, Spain, Germany, Italy

Smaller countries would have a smaller coefficient which might mean 1 team into the Champions and 1 team into the Europa league

Your coefficient is based on the results of teams from your country in European competition over the previous few years.......so if teams from your country keep getting to finals and winning competitions your coefficient will go up and you'll be allowed to enter more teams. If your teams keep losing your coefficient will go down and eventually you'll only be able to enter fewer teams into the competitions

Take for granted that each team has a goalie......the formations are description for how the 10 outfield players are set up.....

so 4-4-2 would be 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 strikers

3-5-2 would be 3 at the back, 5 in midfield and 2 up front

Of course all these formations are flexible depending on the state of the game......if you're losing 1-0 with 10 minutes to go you'll probably thrown more players forward. if you're winning 1-0 you'll probably bring some back to defend

All competitions run concurrently, but games are played on different days

Premier League - mostly weekend and Monday
Champions League - Tuesday and Wednesday
    Europa League - mostly Thursday
Fa cup/ capital one cup - mostly weekend, mostly when there are no premier league games

There isn't enough time in the year to keep them seperate. And even if there was - what are the other 84 teams in the League who aren't playing in Europe supposed to do while the eight teams playing in Europe (four in Champions League, found in Europa League) are playing?

That's up to the manager - and his decision will be based on whether he thinks his next game in either competitions is winable with a weaker team, or whether he needs to play his strongest team. Quite often teams who have had a difficult European game midweek perform poorly at the weekend in the Premier League, against a team that you would normally expect them to beat.

A player who plays for your team is loaned to another team - they generally pick up some (or all) of his wages, and he plays for them rather than for you. This can be for a number of reasons - he may not be good enough or fit enough to get into your first team - but he is good enough to get into their first team if they are a poorer team than you. And if you want him to get first team action playing for somebody, but you aren't prepared to weaken your team by playing him in your first team, then you could loan him to somebody eIse.

It may be because the team you have loaned him to are considering buying him - but want to see how he would fit into their team so they loan him from you for a set period (six months or a year) to determine whether they want to buy him or not.

The team who is loaning the player out often include stipulations like the player will not be allowed to play against you - to prevent one of your own players scoring against you. Those decisions are decided between the two teams at the point that the player is loaned.

There are two transfer periods (windows) during the season - these are the only times which teams can trade players (except for very rare circumstances). The summer transfer period ends on 31st August - unless 31st August happens to fall on a Sunday, in which case it is extended to 1st September. The second transfer window is from 1st January to 31st January with a similar ruling if 31st January falls on a Sunday.

Outside of these transfer periods, you can still sign a player if he doesn't already play for another club (i.e. his contract ended with his previous club and he hasn't yet found a new employer) or if every single (say) goalkeeper on your books was injured, then you would be entitled to take on a goalkeeper from another club to fill that position if the other club agreed.

It's a competition solely between members of UEFA to decide a continental champion.

UEFA is the Union of European Football Associations.
