Annoyed at Kelly for Sophie H.

I wish Kelly had actually in London the week Sophie got eliminated. Had she been here she could have supported her more on Saturday and perhaps she wouldn't have been in the bottom two.

She did choose her over Princess Amelia afterall and Sophie proved herself by sounding incredible in Wishing On A Star...

Good! Is she still planning to duet with her?

    Ps: Amelia to win :)

Different strokes for difficult folks and all that but I still think Sophie was one of the worst acts ever in the history of the live shows.

She was hopelessly out of tune each week of the lives on her short stay , maybe it was nerves

Sophie was the best vocalist ever on the X Factor.

Sophie was the best vocalist ever on the X Factor.

I'd agree that she has the potential to be, but aside from Teenage Dream, she never reeeally delivered. :(

She most certainly was not the worst . She wasn't out of tune either. And as a recorded voice, hers is easily the best on the charity single.

Teenage Dream for me is still one of the better performances in this series.

I could listen to her all day. She's the only X Factor contestant whose songs I have ever downloaded. It's no wonder she got a major part in the charity songs unlike many others who got further than her.
If Sophie got through that week she'd definitely get further than Misha B. She was only in the b2 that week because she had no mentor to support her and her song choice wasn't the best. I'd buy her album in a heartbeat even if it was a thousand euro!!

I loved her at auditions and judges' houses, but she never really lived up to it in the live shows, apart from Teenage Dream. Her song choices weren't great though and I think she was badly mentored. She has my favourite voice of the girls this year by far.

she had the most wonderful voice but it was wrecked on this programme. It was like introducing caviar to a chef specialising in deep fat frying mars bars.
The X Factor doesn't do tone, or subtle, or musicality, or beautiful. It does bellowing. They seem to equate "singing" with volume, with those God-awful power ballid machines. Not with anything quirky, or emotinal, or interesting, just high volume WOO-WOOOOO-WOOOUHHH

Unfortunately she suffered from Bullygate more than Misha did. Were it not for bullygate I reckon she'd have been up against Kitty or Frankie in the bottom two and would likely have been saved. This would have seen her get a bounceback and probably last at least another 2 weeks.

Unfortunately for her, Week 4 was also probably the best week of the competition with Little Mix, Jonny and Craig all probably producing their best performances of the series.

I absolutely adored Sophie, but it was clear that her time had come by that point. Her performance of Teenage Dream was absolutely mesmerizing, but after that she really failed to deliver. The songs she was given really didn't help, but looking back, she was never the type of contestant who could do well on the XF. The extravagance and the OTTness of the X Factor was never a good match for Sophie's voice, and that coupled with her lack of airtime compared to the rest of the Top 12 meant she was never going to make it far.

That's a good point actually, I hadn't thought of it like that.

Other than Shelter, Teenage Dream & Livin' On A Prayer she didn't really deliver in the live shows. :( Shelter, as well as her pre-live show performances showed that she was much better when she wasn't told what to sing & how to sing it etc.

However, she definitely was not the worst (Dundeeboy - Addictive Ladiez? Conway Sisters? Girl Band? Unconventionals? Scott Bruton? Daniel Evans? Eoghan?)

As ridiculous as it sounds, I don't think she'd have survived over Frankie. He was virtually the only act in the papers day-in-day-out at the time, and that was at the heart of the "XF is dead" coverage in the papers. It would have been horrific, but Frankie probably would have been kept on. She definitely would have gone home over Kitty, which wouldn't have been so bad...

In a strange way, as a Sophie fan, there was some minor consolation in her being in the Bottom Two with Misha. Losing to another talented singer kind of softened the blow a little bit. If she had lost to Frankie like I expected her to before the results were revealed last night, I'd have been seriously seriously angry.

The BIB is definitely not deserved :(

Sophie was great and her Skinny Love performance at bootcamp proves she is good.

She sounds great on the charity single, and gave some great performances. Teenage Dream, Wherever You Will Go and Bang Bang were really good, in my opinion.

The only performance I didn't like from Sophie throughout the entire competition was Livin' on a Prayer - and I didn't even dislike it, I was just indifferent to it.

She was definitely underrated throughout the competition, especially considering Johnny, Frankie, Craig and The Risk were still there at the time she was still in the competition.

I too have to agree that Sophie had a unique voice and she could sing the charity single on the own - that song really suits her tone of voice - in fact they should let her release that song on its own without any other singers in her way.

I would have loved to see Sophie go further in the show but it wasn't to be. Even Kelly Rowland made the comment at judges houses she can't wait to buy her album I for one would also agree

She would never have lasted much longer, she just wasn't very good. Amelia is much better and I'm not her biggest fan.

I wasn't a fan of her but I kind of feel sorry for her. :o She has been completely overshadowed by Janet, Misha and the return of Amelia. Even worse when Sophie went out in Week 4 and Janet/Misha/Amelia were all there for Week 8. :(

this ^^.... Sophie's voice is really beautiful to listen to and I'm half thinking whether she was wondering about a week before the live shows started "WTF am I doing this for...." She was very badly styled (her own hippy chick image suited her much better, not the tight Carol Vorderman dresses and huge bun hairdos...); most of the songs she was given didn't suit her vocals; and she wasn't pimped to bejesus every week.

    Take it from day 1.....

--her original audition was a blink and you miss it moment. Apparently she didn't impress on her first song attempt due to nerves and was allowed to sing another song, which she did and wowed. We saw nothing of this and instead of the producers making this into one of those X Factor Annastasia Baker/Jonjo Kerr moments where their second song and/or second attempt made a bigger impact, we were left with a very forgettable audition in a montage.

--At bootcamp it was pretty clear that Misha B and Janet were the favourites..... both Sophie and Amelia received next to no coverage whilst the other girls received pimp slots. It was clear then that both Amelia and Sophie were dispensible at this point and guesss what, Amelia booted in week one and Sophie given piss-poor direction and booted week 4.

--At Judges' Houses again, Sophie didn't garner much screentime.

--Liveshow 1. Sophie gives a killer performance but in the results show is shown last to be picked up against a public favourite, Amelia, with many in the GBP thinking it was really down to a choice between these two and the other girls were a cert. To me this only generated a dislike for Sophie in some quarters, with a quite a few nasty messages appearing on her FB fanpages, etc, saying that Amelia should have gone through instead of her. Also, dreadful twist............

Perhaps my point is, the GBP do need to be pushed in the right direction as many of the viewers are very fickle and can't spot true talent if it was shagging them...... take for example many of the winners or other people who went far in the competition due to the fact they hyped beyond belief but who hadn't the genuine talent to back themselves up.

Poor Sophie was just fodder and I really hope that soon we hear of an album............ Equally, I hope that in future shows all contestants are treated the same, given equal screentime pre-live-shows

Sophie had as much charisma as Father Stone at Father Ted's house...nobody voted for her because nobody cared...she was a decent singer, but she did not strike a chord with the public...she needed to bottle some of what Frankie had...

thanks for proving my point....... Frankie had lots of charisma but zero talent...... he was pimped continually about his wild nites out and what a rocker he was, given excessive screentime pre-live shows and guess what, except for a once-off in the bottom two, week on week he was getting through, based purely on character and nowt else.....

Sorry but the Fix Factor Facebook page had her summed up perfectly:
    http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/385425_167700216656143_111934432232722_310577_1990422130_n.jpg

To me she has one of those voices that if she was singing in a bar, you'd listen to her for 10 seconds and think "That's nice"; and then carry on with your conversation.

I'm certain people have been locked away in lunatic asylums for less than Kelly Rowland's utterly bizarre decision to put her through at the expense of her best chance of winning X-Factor 2011 Amelia.

And of course because she has done that in Week 1; Kelly & Amelia now stand close to zero chance of winning come Sunday night.
