Well I would like to say that I take full responsibility for Lucie being here. The song I gave her earlier was a gamble I was willing to take and it didn't pay off, so I had a feeling this would happen. Now in that sing-off, Lucie came out and pulled it out of the bag and it was a million times better. I promise as well to give you a much better song and I want her to be given a second chance. So therefore the act I have to send home...is Pajie.
Okay I'm slightly surprised at this bottom two, while I expected Lucie to be here, I didn't see Paige coming! Lucie, you absolutely nailed that bottom two performance! You really did... But it highlighted your problem, you only nail ballads. If you'd came out with an up-tempo performance and proved that you could compete with the other girls in your category I can guarantee I would've saved you. However, Paige you've never came onto my radar at all, you've kinda just faded into the background; tonight was good but not exceptional. But, you're getting a new mentor, I feel no offence to Tom but he has held the boys category back and had he not picked that song for Jamie he would've survived. So, because I feel like they deserve a chance I'm saving Paige.
So unfortunately that means we lose Lucie! Commiserations Steve and Lucie!!
As I'm going on holiday tomorrow, the first application I receive for being the new judge will become it! Otherwise, you will have to wait until I get back.
