Glasto site won't reveal till 10pm hmmm
The overall Pyramid Stage lineup is pretty crap though. OK if you're a Springsteen fan, but the Other Stage beats the heck out of it. Spinal Tap, Tony Christie and a few others can just naff off. The John Peel stage lineups are pretty good though. Doves, Jarvis Cocker, Little Boots, Lady Gaga, Florence & The Machine, Echo & The Bunnymen etc. Great.
Notice Roger McGuinn there on Sunday though.
Some real legends there this year.
I'd be excited to see:
The Prodigy, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bat For Lashes, Maximo Park, Peaches.
But that's it. I'm quite releived that I never got tickets. I know it has a lot to do with the festival exprience but the line up is not too amazing for me and the ones I want to see I've seen before (with the exception of Peached and The Prodigy).
Metric
Bat For Lashes
The Virgins
Passion Pit
Noisettes
Kate Walsh
Lay Low
Emiliana Torrini
Theoretical Girl
Emmy The Great
The Shortwave Set
Peaches
Eliza Carthy
Peatbog Fairies
Seth Lakeman
The Mummers
First Aid Kit
Little Boots
Regina Spektor
Tommy Sparks
Friendly Fires
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I'd choose from the following list ( would need to make sacrifices due to time clashes ) ....
Neil Young
The Specials
Lily Allen
Regina Spektor
The View
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
Kasabian
Spinal Tap
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Status Quo
Ting Tings
Antony & The Johnsons
White Lies
Jason Mraz
Glasvegas
Bon Iver
Bat For Lashes
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Florence & The Machine
Gaslight Anthem
Lisa Hannigan
Bap Kennedy
Imelda May
Noah And The Whale
Magic Numbers
I'll veg out in front of the TV all weekend, maybe setup a tent and barbie in the garden to get in the mood....crap in the neighbours birdhouse

Now with extra ROLF!
I reckon the Isle of wight lineup is better!
Kasabian
Blur
Peter Doherty
Echo & The Bunnymen
Prodigy
Maybe:
Lily Allen
Badly Drawn Boy
Jarvis Cocker
Franz Ferdinand
I'd think not.
Neil Young is at Hyde Park Calling on Saturday night. Don't think CSN will be at Glastonbury a day early.
what a good idea. lol
they televise it right?
if so will be definetly watching Lady GaGa, Lily Allen, and a few others.
Definites:
Bruce Springsteen,
Beans on Toast,
Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip,
Florence & the Machine,
The Gaslight Anthem,
Tap!,
Rolf,
Q-Tip,
Yeah Yeah Yeah's,
Peter Doherty,
Art Brut,
Beth Rowley,
Magic Numbers etc.
Would watch: Maximo Park, Wombats, Blur, Fleet Foxes, Franz, Kasabian, Lily Allen, Noah and the Whale, Ting Tings, Dodgy, Hockey, Tom Jones, Jarvis Cocker, Jason Mraz, The Lancashire Hotpots, Doves, Official Secrets Act, Madness, Bon Iver, De La Soul (if it happens), Pendulum.
I personally think it's a blimin' good line up. Doubt I'll get round to seeing half of my list though
Am I excited .. YEEEEEAAAAHHHHH :):)
I suspect from comments above that many haven't been before. You can't just go from one stage to another .. particularly if it's muddy. It usually takes at least half an hour, so you miss a set. I usually decide on 2 or 3 acts per day I really, really wanna see, then compromise with the rest. eg on Sunday, I'd rather see Prodigy than Blur (I've seen them both before) but I've never seen Nick Cave live, and really, really wanna see him. So I'll see Blur Sunday night (or spend half an hour trudging in the mud in the general direction of Prodigy .. )
Thanks , thats interesting and something I hadn't considered...I haven't been to Glasto , but from my T in the Park experiences had assumed that you could stage hop relatively straight forwardly. Now you mention it, and I think of the scale of Glasto, the crowds, and yes...even the mud I can understand how difficult that would prove.
I'll just hop from BBC3 red button coverage etc and catch as much as I can, recording the rest !
