This idea of a small town secure from the rest it's just not credible.
Why not? It seemed to have good perimeter security before they started, and they just needed to seal off the main road at each end. Walkers aren't intelligent so it doesn't take much to stop them. They keep a constant vigil so they can't get too close. If a herd turned up, they have the man-power and weapons to deal with it.
The entire thing is just a bit silly where they all are this series is not as safe as the farm.
The farm wasn't at all safe. Walkers were wandering in all the time. Both prison and village are safer.
Difference is, if Rick were in the Governor's position, I can't
see him doing stuff like sending goons to kill someone
who'd left the town.
He'd kill them before they left, if he thought they were a threat. (Or he'd at least agonise about it for weeks before Shane eventually did it for him.) He'd also avoid letting them join the town in the first place. Notice it was Carl who saved Michonne's life and had her brought in. Rick would have watched the zombies eat her outside the prison fence.
Arguably Michonne was a threat to the governor, partly because she already knew too much. Also arguably, it was Merle who really wanted her caught. It seems to me he is quite powerful. For example, the reason the Governor hadn't already invested the prison is that Merle told him it was impossible. We also saw Merle kill the boy who saved his life, to prevent him telling the Governor what had happened with Michonne. The Governor is being manipulated by Merle.

Besides the chances are that with only 70 odd people living there "Woodbury" doesn't consist of the entire pre-Walker town, just a few blocks.
If that were the case it would probably be easier to defend.
Wow, that was intense. I hope Merle and the Governor get tossed to the walkers
Pretty grim stuff. I thought the scene where the
Governor threatened to rape poor Maggie was very
disturbing, as was Merle torturing Glenn.
On the other hand, the scene where Rick and co. bumped
into the crazy hermit's house seemed a bit out of keeping
with the episode's tone-perhaps the writers were trying for black comedy and failed.

Fine performances from Lauren Cohan & Steven Yeun, I really thought Glen was going to be shot at the End, when Maggie told all.
Looks like it's going to be a mega one next week, for the finale mid season Break.....then it's back in February.

Given two of the characters died earlier this season, it's
likely more of the regulars are going to
snuff it before S3 is out (well, apart from Rick and
Daryl). My bet is on Andrea - probably get caught
in the crossfire between Rick's group and
the Governor.
Makes a nice change from stuff like "Heroes", where nobody
would ever stay dead!

Hershel's other daughter could go as well as she seems to server very little purpose
Actually is the Woodbury story over after this episode?
Based on what I know from the comics, my guess is...
.....no.
But I don't think that counts for much. While the bare bones of the plot is derived from the comics, the majority of the details, characters and sub-plots are completely different.

One can only hope! Cannot stand her smugness.
Btw, do Rick and co know that Andrea is safe at Woodbury? I can't remember if Michonne mentioned it to them or not.
Walking Dead is one of the best shows on TV. The amount of time they put in the make up alone is ridiculous. But the 3rd season is great. Can't wait for it to continue. US pace is on mid season break.

She doesn't appear to have told them anything...or put anything together at all..
As mentioned somewhere above (I think, may have been another forum), with Andrea's inability to shut up about herself, Michonne must have heard about the other people in the group Andrea was with (if only about how they are all bastards, hated the man she liked and left her to die).
Logic would suggest she would have some inkling these may be the same people....outwith that, you'd hope a person might just say "be careful, I have a friend in there".
Michonne has also heard Merle, bang on about his brother to Glenn during the standoff....you'd think she might want to mention this to the Ricktatorship too....
At this point, I'm not sure if the actress is only capable of swinging a sword and pouting, or if the writers genuinely can't give her decent dialogue/make her seem like anything other than a cipher.....

I thought last nights episode was a 'teeing up' episode to bring us to the edge of a good episode................hopefully next week will be a corker
Remember last season's midway finale with little Sophie coming out of the barn,.............
I think it's more likely that Merle will turn on the Governor
Unlikely as it is I hope Milton survives
At least with Merle u know the score the Gov is just creepily nasty lol
I can imagine the Gov ordering Merle to shoot Daryl and that's what will cause him to turn on him
Gov already has doubts about Merle as he was annoyed that the Ricktatorship had taken over the prison when Merle had said it couldn't be done

By Glasses Guy you mean Milton??
As I've said before I hope he survives

Im really hoping for a grisly end for them.
A couple of smoke thingys and lots of bullets flying around.Im amazed hardly anyone got hit...
Glad Michonne got away. She is great
