I know I asked this on the previous thread, but is there a lunchtime game scheduled for New Years Day? BT have both Man Utd Tottenham and Southampton Chelsea on that day, so Sky should have a lunchtime game as well

Also, I assume Sky will have 2 games on the 29th December as well. Looking at Championship fixtures for that day, Wigan Burnley looks like a good bet for Sky

Sky have Swansea v Man City at 12.45 on NYD, as well as two Prem games on the 29th, so I don't expect any live Football League on that day

Just spotted looking back up the thread, that that means both Leeds v Sheff Weds games will be live on Sky this season. Surprised they've gone for the 2nd game as well (yes, it's a local derby I know), given the first game was........well, let's just say it wasn't a good advert for Championship football as it was a terrible game to watch.

The Mighty Leeds on 2 weeks on the trot.......home game versus Leicester is going to be on live on Sat 18th Jan. 12.15ko.

Again that means both the home and away fixtures will be shown.

It's clear that Sky must see Leeds as the Man United of the Championship, i.e. the club that draws the biggest share of Tv viewers.

Daft really. It's not even like they're doing anything this season. If it was Burnley or QPR for example, you could maybe understand it as they look like they could do something this season (ie fight for promotion). Leeds? They're not even good to watch this season, let alone looking like they're going to be up there. Anytime I've seen them (including the game at our place just over a week ago) they've looked woeful at best.

And that's my point.....for a team that is basically average at present, Sky must have a damn good reason for wanting to keep showing Leeds and it's got to be that leeds bring in the highest tv figures outside the premier league.

just look at our uk fanbase over 1 million ok know home crowds have been poor lots of reasons for that but this Saturdays away game at Charlton is sold out for us plus Blackburn are giving us the whole of the Darwin end which holds 8,000 doubt we will have that many there but still gonna be fair few
as for being midtable championship team we are currently 8th
3 points off play offs Leicester are flying so yes its good choice ;)

You sell out most away games, but that doesn't mean you should be on TV a lot. As for you being 8th and 3 points off the playoffs, consider yourself lucky. Anytime I've seen you on TV or when we beat you just over a week ago I've been anything but impressed. At best when I've seen you, you've been average, but on the whole, ranged anywhere between woeful and average.

Leeds tv record of appearances is as follows
    2010/11 9 games
    2011/12. 8 games
    2012/13. 5
    2013/14 7 (up to end of January 2014 )

    Don't think that's that many really ?
And besides we are not on now till boxing day v Blackpool away also the sheffield Wednesday game (h) was part of sky's free weekend so not sure that can be included ;)

Well you could say that about a lot of games both yesterday's premier league games were dire IMHO next weekends
Looks better on paper espically with man
U arsenal and spurs/ Newcastle but who knows
Being a champions league week and Europa league on Thursday that means premier league will be split by both days
But with forest v Leicester in the championship this wekend
Could be better this than last

As for us being on tv we are the most loved/ hated team in championship which ever way you look at it by far the biggest name which is why sky put us on quite a lot
Not as much as QPR though and Leicester get fair few games
But ask most championship fans which team they want to beat most and chances are we will be most people's choices
Sky need games particually in championship for people to watch and leeds along with QPR Leicester are teams to do that

As your manager said after game (know this is a local derby btw) beating Leeds is the be all and end all for most in this league it doesn't get much bigger than that , to most Leeds
Fans round country beating likes of Huddersfield Barnsley etc
Doesn't warrant mass celebrations that's the diffeterence
Between us and why sky show us so much
    Only my view of course

Sorry but that's a load of trash. Beating you isn't the be all and end all for us, let alone any other team. You say beating certain teams doesn't warrant mass celebrations from your lot..........yeah, because other teams beating you warrants it. Except that doesn't happen. Only have to see the reaction of your fans when you score against us or beat us, you go beyond bonkers (as well as in the case of the game just over a week ago, being so happy/excited that you choose to throw flares and bottles from the stand). You may be a big team in your own mind, but to most teams fans, you're just another bang average middling 2nd tier league team who are nothing special.
