Sky+ Box Turning Off

Hi,
I have had a Sky+ box for around 2 and a half years now, and all of a suddent it has started turning itself off!!
You can turn it back on again by pressing the standby button on the remote control and it might be fine again, but eventually the box will turn it self off, I have tried pulling the power out of the box and back in again, but the problem keeps occuring.
Any ideas?

maybe getting to hot and hard drive developing faults
try placing somewhere out of cabnet if not ventilated enough

yes it is in a cabinet, and I must admit the top of the box does feel warm, will remove it and try.
