Album No. 4 was released on Monday. Oceans of Time
Warning: auto-plays first song.
Will probably appeal to those who like Dream Theater. The new album is a bit of a change in style so I haven't gotten fully into it yet (three and a half listens). Often takes me 6-8! So if you want instant gratification it may not suit.

Disappointingly I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered by Amazon! They had far more orders than they were anticipating and have run out of stock!!
They are touring later this month with Von Hertzen Brothers.

Yeah, I read about that on their Facebook page. Could it be a good sign that they're progressing (excuse the pun)? OTOH, you would have expected Amazon to at least fulfilled the pre-orders! But it appears they haven't. Not good form.
I pre-ordered mine from the record company but only because that happened to be the first announcement. Had I not seen that I would have pre-ordered from Amazon.
Anyway, the album is definitely growing on me and I'm looking forward to the live shows.
Btw, you can catch Kim on Team Rock radio from Sunday (top entry).
If you drag the slider to about 1h 8m she's on for about a half hour.
Off to see Radkey on Thursday; *really* liking what I've heard from them so far. Romance Dawn is probably in my Top 10 tracks of the year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udMGjzuYNTw

Yes, I heard it when it was broadcast.
I think it is because they are, ahem, "progressing"! I first saw them in a pub in Swindon just after Kim joined the band and they had just released Discordant Dreams, so I've been seeing and following them for a few years now!
According to Box Office Mojo, METALLICA's new movie, "Metallica Through The Never", has earned just $3.2 million at the box office after its third weekend in theaters.

Have to say, I'm surprised it's doing so badly. It will probabaly do a lot better once it's released on DVD though.
I never expected it to set the world alight, especially as IMAX and 3D films are more expensive, they also have the soundtrack which I assume would not have cost much to produce. But they have tried something, if they lose money I am not sure they will be short of a bob or two

I guess not but at the same time I think I just assumed, you know, it's METALLICA & that would be enough to get the punters in.
Anyone for Steel Panther? Glam Metal's answer to Spinal Tap doing a proper tour in 2014
14/3 Lincoln, UK – Engine Shed
15/3 Wolverhampton, UK – Civic Hall
16/3 Manchester, UK – Apollo
18/3 Newcastle, UK – Academy
19/3 Glasgow, UK – Barrowlands
20/3 Sheffield, UK – Academy
22/3 Cambridge, UK – Corn Exchange
23/3 Bristol, UK – Academy
24/3 Nottingham, UK – Rock City
26/3 London, UK – Brixton Academy
Personally, I think they might be aiming a little high with some of those venues.
Comments
enjoying the first song, will listen to the rest.
Good post
Id say Undertow and Lateralus were the best places to start. In that order
My Sabaton live Earbook just arrived & it's gorgeous!
Thank you. I'll do that
As they are my favourite band I'd agree with that.
For me both are masterpieces.

As I was in town yesterday I thought I'd pop into my local HMV and they had three copies of the new album, though none of their others!
Has yours turned up yet?

Financed by the METALLICA members themselves at a budget of $18 million,...

A lot of cinemas are not showing it.
As far as I'm aware, there is only one cinema in Northern Ireland showing it, and it is only one showing on one night.
