A videosender is fine if there's no radio interrerence. And they're reaonsbaly cheap. Power consumption - 3W either end switched on - is insgnificant.
If there's interference, then using an eye extension also means running co-ax, which may mean drilling holes! You should use the cheapest available (rg6) "satellite" cable, becuase it has a foil screen (or more expensive type if u want to).
Coax also means no stereo sound (stupid BBC and their NICAM728, duh!). But if that matters, you could always get some separate wireless headphones ........
(a videosend costs about £30, and wireless headphones same again).
I got an older version of this (see link), connects to the scart on the Sky Box and into a Scart in your TV. Remote works by putting the little dangly thing (technical term ) in line of view if the IR receiver on the Sky Box.

Or if cabling is too difficult, a video sender.

All it is doing is sending the signal from the Sky box to the TV via these devices so you have to watch the same channel in both rooms.
