I often read that addresses and houses can often become so iconic that they become characters in their own right. We see this is literature (e.g. Manderley in 'Rebecca'), film and TV. Which famous addresses (or towns, etc) can you think of in the history of television? I'll go first:

165 Eaton Place. (Upstairs, Downstairs)
Port Wenn, Cornwall. (Doc Martin)
The Parochial House, Craggy Island. (Father Ted)
1901, Elliot Bay Towers. (Frasier)
742 Evergreen Terrace. (The Simpsons)
6151 Richmond Street. (The Golden Girls)
84 Beacon Street. (Cheers)
19 Riverbank. (One Foot in the Grave)
Dalentrace. Chigwell. (Birds of a Feather)
St Mary Mead. (Miss Marple)
56B Whitehaven Mansions. (Poirot)
Downton Abbey. (self explanatory)
Robin Hill. (The Forsyte Saga)

I'm sure there's more than one person here who will be unable to read this one without the proper rhythm:

    2 Lock Keepers' Cottages
    Old Ford Lock
    London

Hancock lived in Railway Cuttings, East Cheam

Basil Fawlty lived at Fawlty Towers of course

    23 Railway Cuttings. East Cheam.

Think I only remember that because of the way Hancock says Cheam.

What about phone numbers? The Meldrews is 4291.

I'm offended that you think we're all such nerds that we'd know without being told that was were the TARDIS was first located in the opening episode of "Dr. Who" - "An unearthly child":p

I was going to put it myself but couldn't quite recall it.:)
