Sitting round a computer all day is your problem. Get off the backside and go for long brisk walks and the weight should drop off.....

Does your computer use that much electricity? What is it? A desktop?

You realise you could buy a laptop and then just plug a USB keyboard and mouse into it.

If you get an energy efficient laptop with an 8 hour battery and keep the brightness down etc you could drastically save on that bill.

If you're that skint that you struggle to afford trousers, how will you ever be able to afford a new laptop? That's like 35 trousers at least.

PC's generally don't conk. I have a desktop from 2004. I use it as an office machine and I expect it to last another 10 years.

Have you considered becoming a gigolo? Seriously. You could make money by shagging women who can't get it - and have some fun along the way.

    Two birds and all that's

Earn loads of money and 'shagging' all Those women the weight will fall off.

How much do you weigh Chris what's your BMI?

Hard work in the gym every day from now until then with a reduced healthy diet may do it. Good luck on this one but it would be possible with commitment.

Buying bigger trousers is a slippery slope IMO, the more comfortable with the extra inches the more likely they will stay,
    Dieting is the better option.

I mean what happens when the 46" trousers become to tight! I see the big 5 0 in your future :(

Got daughter's school Prizegiving evening on 10th, week on Tuesday and it's a posh do. Tried my best trousers on last night and they won't fasten as they're only 42 waist and am at least 44 now, could be 46. So if I go on a crash diet,

you've got no chance mate, your body has to get used to change & the belly and the waist are last to go. I went from a 46" waist to 30 " waist and it took me months

plenty exercise & less food & more fruit etc

Walking isn't as effective as resistance training to burn off mid-body fat. :)
