You are supposed to be doing something else really, like paying the gas bill or descaling the kettle, but you have decided life is short so you are going to be a bit cheeky and pop out to the pub for a quick drink and spend time with friends instead. There is a very slight element of guilt involved.

Buying or drinking a pint when one shouldn't have.

A variation on 'No, I shouldn't. (pause) Oh, go on then."

Guilty as charged your honour. But I work in retail (on the shop floor) and have seen and experienced first hand what such an environment does to people whether they be staff or customer.

When you have a pint at a time when you probably shouldn't, like when you're at work on a lunch break or will be driving, though now it just seems to be whenever a person has a quick pint somewhere.

It's a slightly irritating term either way I suppose.

    Boredom.

It's like one of those really easy games where there's no challenge and you know exactly what you need to do, but that doesn't stop you playing.

It's a pint that will make a suggestive innuendo, maybe slap your bum as you leave.

For some reason it sounds like something Nigel Farage would have. The drink that is not the wank obviously.
