Its a shame that a lot of people on this thread don't see their grandparents or aren't allowed to see their grandparents due to a family rift with the parent. Just because a parent doesn't get on with a grandparent shouldn't let the grandchildren miss out. My mother never got on with her mother (or anybody) so I saw my grandmother very little until I learned to drive and I would go see her several times a week and we had sucha good relationship. I don't have a good relationship with my father who is still alive but I would never deny him a relationship with my children
