RIP. And poor Mara Wilson - two of her favourite co-stars in under a fortnight.

So sad. I know he hasn't acted in a long while but no one is hardly reporting on this, a legend has died and it's like nothing has happened.

It's only been about 15 minutes since the first announcement FFS! I'm sure his passing will be duly noted.

Sad news. A few days shy of his 91st birthday. A prolific talent and a lovely man.

Well it has only just been announced on the news so a bit early yet. Strangely he was on Elaine Paige's radio show today, which I know is recorded but I did think he sounded as if it was a struggle to talk. Condolences to his family, another actor from the 'Old School' gone.

RIP Lord Attenborough. Loved him in Miracle on 34th Street - he was the epitome of Father Christmas! 90 is a grand old age to live to and my condolences go out to his family, but I can't help feeling sad for Mara Wilson who has now lost 2 of her most famous & well loved co-stars in the space of a few weeks :( I hope he was as lovely and kind in real life as he appeared on screen.

Great actor and another link to the golden generation of film gone - one of the finest character actor's Britain has every produced. He could play menacing or fragile in equal measure and in later years he was one of our finest director's who could turn his "old school" style into modern masterpieces ... Gandhi will go down as one of the all time classics and A Bridge Too Far must have played a part in every childhood memory in Britain over the last 35 years.

Not really a big fan of him as a director but he was the Godfather of the British film industry and seemed like a nice guy.
