    Always loved a great intro. :)

    The more dramatic and haunting they are, the better;

    Backstabbers - Ojays
    Papa Was A Rolling Stone - Temptations
    Do It Again - Steely Dan
    Riders On The Storm - Doors
    If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman
    I Don't Like Mondays - Boomtown Rats
    Year Of The Cat - Al Stewart
    Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
    Christopher Cross - Sailing

    You mean Al Green

    How could I forget I heard it through the grapevine?!

    Also I nominate The Smiths This Charming Man and Isley Brothers This Old Heart Of Mine

    Me too. I'll nominate 'In A Big Country' because that is one intro that makes me turn the stereo up to full.

    Yeah, that's a cracking song, too. No need to feel guilty about listening to smooth pleasant songs like that, though! Life is too short for that sort of nonsense.
