    I'm thinking of maybe going there too. Like lots of walks and things so it sounds lovely.

    It rained a lot although it wasn't the 'official' rainy season. Proper rain not like most of what we get here. ☂☁

    I've heard that Madeira is great for a holiday at New year time.Their New Year celebrations are awesome with spectacular fireworks displays and the weather is pleasant and warm.

    Yep beautiful. Lovely in January as a winter break. I think 2 weeks is a long time for Madeira though.

    Don't get an old version, as the routes may not be passable due to landslip etc.
