Chinese display screen/text on my new mobile!

I bought a new ZTE Blade off eBay recently. Charged it up, turned it on....to see the display all in Chinese.
As far as I know, it was a UK seller, phone arrived in 2 days of ordring. Ive contacted the seller but got a message to say that the seller's 1st language might not be English!
Any idea what I can do to get the mobile back into English mode?

the symbol for 'language and input' is a letter A in a square. the top option is the actual language.
