Due to the extra time in the football, tonight's EastEnders has been dropped and will now be shown at a later date.

Not a viewer of Eastenders but surely if the BBC know that a scheduled sport event could possibly over run then surely the easiest thing to do would be put Eastenders on BBC3 as that comes on air at 7pm. Do it for the duration of the World Cup (or whatever sport event is on) and no-one will be upset.

its still scheduled for bbc 3 tonight.

and the omnibus would have it too - but yes the beeb are rather stupid for scheduling it tonight - when there is no football tomorrow or thursday so could have scheduled it then - make the one show half an hour or something.

They'll likely drop Traffic Cops on Thursday night and do an hour long episode. Fill in the remaining half an hour with a random episode of Question of Sport

Ideally, the BBC could still show it on BBC 3 and to be honest, as they seem to think 'online is the future way to watch TV', they could still stick it up on iPlayer and re-show it on BBC One another day.

But they won't. It happens every single year when Wimbledon is on (last year their was no sports programming on BBC 2 and they still didn't shift it over). God knows why they don't but they seem to think re-scheduling it to a later date is the best solution for everyone.

They won't show it on BBC 3 tonight either, that will be replaced by a Family Guy repeat or something silly.

There won't be a BBC3 showing, it'll be changed, as someone said to something like a Family Guy repeat. You can't show the repeat as that means when it finally turns up on BBC1 it'll be a repeat.

yes, the bbc are going to cancel a world cup game they spent tonnes of money on, so eastenders can air

get realistic, its a minor inconvenience but the episode wont be lost or anything.

and argies just scored, so no penalties so if they hurry up, they could air it still.
