What do you think?

It doesn't seem to have gone down too well north of the border.

Apparently the colours are designed to evoke the landscape of Scotland.
Well, Commonwealths ain't really a big deal. Going back to the Scotland uniform picture did the woman in the hat get lost or something?.

Well the designer, Jilli Blackwood says:

She's the designer!
(And I like the Commonwealth Games. The one in Manchester was really enjoyable.)
lol yeah, why's she not in uniform? Maybe she just refused to wear something that awful
The designer?!?! Yep - that outfit she's wearing helps explain those uniforms.
I'm not sure it's a total success. One of the comments said that never before had the boundary between kilt and skirt been so blurred, or words to that effect.
To be honest I don't mind the Commonwealths. I like watching the Gymnastics.:)
I don't mind whether Scotland becomes independent or not either, that's up to them.
I just don't want to watch Salmond strutting around like a peacock!. (During the games that is)
I know everything is subjective, but that's hideous. :D
The dresses look like overalls and as for the shirts - A nice ghillle shirt in a plain colour would have been better. I'm trying to give the tartan time - It might not seem so bad in a year or two. And what about those socks the lads are wearing? Dysentery yellow with a hint of the runs comes to mind.
What was the "committee" or whatever ingesting when they chose that designer?
It certainly is. She must have been trained by Vivienne Westwood.
It's a bloody embarrassment.
They got that right
Indeed. A proper kilt can look quite stylish. Those don't look well-made at all. Plus, of course, teaming it with a shirt that looks like an ironing board cover is never going to be a good look.
