I don't know what to make of them, but they certainly aren't what I expected.
I expected a much younger overall demographic, which is simply not the case. Which begs the question why there are people who think some of these contestants are big stars when they appear to be put in there for a much younger demographic?
I think the program makers want to appeal to a younger audience and keep the younger viewers that they already have (and hence get advertizing revenue for this young demographic- which is the most desired demographic for advertizers ).
The above applies more to Civilian BB though. This Celeb BB series has quite an old average age of contestant.
Just to see if the forum's demographic is similar to the show's viewers demographic (more females than males and more over 35s than under 35s I believe).

Nearly 32, male. The fact that the majority of this forum are women over 51-at least according to the above-may explain why there are so many whingers on here....
