Anyone have any idea what they are doing on exchanges where there is nothing other than ADSL and ADSL Max?

Had a letter from PO Broadband today saying I would be getting a new router later this month. If I don't swap then I will lose service. I have already fitted my own ADSL 2+ router with a good wifi antenna system on it, currently getting 18Mbit/sec. Any idea if PO Broadband are going to fibre or what this upgrade is about ? Thanks

Replacement router is a Zyxel AMG1302, the paperwork that comes with it describes it as a Zyxel AMG1302. This is still an ADSL2+ router, not sure what the changes are compared to the previous P-660HW-T1 unless it relates to traffic shaping.

I only ask because i had replaced the previous router myself with a better model in order to get better Wifi coverage.
