there are some openly gay people who oppose same sex marriage.

personally. i'm a strong supporter of gay marriage and would vote to support it. i can't see that that would make anyone think i was gay.

i mean does anyone think that because someone supports gay marriage they are gay?

From a political perspective Cameron should have left this alone until after the next election. There is really no upside for the Conservatives in this matter.

Sometimes politicians have to be bold and do the right thing. When it comes to 2015, the matter will have been settled and few will be that bothered.

Just because you're gay, doesn't necessarily mean you're pro gay marriage.

One would assume they are bisexual rather than gay...

Have to agree, Cameron had no mandate to do this, major mistake.

This is true. However why should it be anyone else's business who gets married? I dare say some slaves wanted to be slaves and didn't have anywhere to go when slavery was abolished. It doesn't mean slavery was right.

No? There have been many campaigns for equality over the years. Besides when does not having a mandate ever seen Cameron and Clegg not pursuing legislation?

The names are not widely known, however there are about 12 if the story is accurate.

Not a parallel I'm afraid. You are equating being gay and wanting to marry with being an alcoholic.

15 according to the site I linked to just now. I read up to 20 in the paper today as some people have not said how they will vote...
