Why do so many so-called football fans always go back to the period when Chelsea fans deserted the club in droves?
They did so for very good reasons which i can't be bothered to go into now.
But check the facts and see that the Chelsea had returned in big numbers and were filling the Bridge before Abramovich arrived.
Also, if you look back in their ENTIRE history you will see that Chelsea were one of the best supported clubs with huge crowds.
Also, take a look back to periods of the 1980's and see that the mighty Man Utd support dropped to a reletive paltry 36, 000 average.
Liverpool had gates of under 30,000 for some games despite being the best team in Europe.
