Am just watching this for the first time and I can't believe how bad Julia Roberts Irish accent is!
How the hell did they think she sounded ok??

    I ended up switching it off after about 40 minutes.

    It may be one of those cases where the star is too big.

    They either want to show they are a good actor by putting on an accent and nobody dares tell them it's stupid or the bosses ask them to do an accent for the film thinking they're a top actor surely they can manage it and are them embarrassed to go back on the decision.


    Kind of the opposite to other big stars who just play themselves and don't bother with accents in any film/role.
    Connery is the usual suspect in that one.
