    The show was really missing her lately, and now she's never to appear on the cobbles again. RIP - thanks for all the Barlow antics over the years, Anne.

    OMG I'm gutted. Shocked to the core and gutted. She must have been seriously ill then and not depression or something like I thought. Poor woman, at least she managed to keep it private.

    RIP Anne, thanks for the memories. I;m going to miss Deirdre so much.

    Oh how awful! Honestly can't believe it. Terrible after all the stuff in the papers recently about her leaving!

    Hope they give her a dignified and recognised farewell on Corrie.

    I cannot believe this. What sad and tragic news- she was only sixty years old. She was one of Corrie's greats and seemed like a lovely person when interviewed. R.I.P. Anne Kirkbride. My thoughts are with your family at this very sad time.

    oh my goodness. i dont normally believe celeb deaths until i see it on the bbc website, but if its on the corrie one surely it must be true? :(

    so sad, 60 is pretty young nowadays :cry:
