My mothers’ graciousness has struck again – I had a Christmas card made for her (by a very talented lady) and what did I get back. “You just sent me a homemade card when I went to the shops to pick you out a really nice one.”
I was ringing up to tell her that we (me and my son and daughter) would be visiting her on Boxing Day (a round trip of over 150 miles) – I was very tempted to cancel.
I would spend days when I was young carefully making a gift for her and she would just find a fault with it.
I’m an only child and I was one too many.
I'm lucky to have had a wonderful mum. I was an only as well but only as poor mum lost three others She always appreciated everything I did for her, I was blessed to have her as long as I did!:)
