The Three Lions will roar.

And Uncle Sam will be silent.

We hope.

I'd rather Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan were silent than some elderly white haired bloke with a dodgy goatee.

I'd best get down the pub then and reserve my seat.
C'mon En-ger-land... spank-the-yanks, and do various other jingoistic terms splashed around by the Red Top newspapers!

Looks like a good atmosphere. BBC News just showed a load of USA and England fans getting drunk and singing together. Looked very friendly. Good to see a lack of idiots so far.

Nice to see, isn't it? Maybe we can shake off the image of lager-swilling and chair-throwing. Although it's winter it's still sunny so we may have to put up with the 'fat and sunburnt' contingent.

Yep. Just a reminder to avoid Budweiser and nachos for today at least.

    Is that a confirmed lineup?

Yeah according to Talksport it is comfirmed.

"Talksport" and "confirmed" dont operate in the same sentence often though so Joe Cole and Peter Crouch shouldnt be too disappointed yet!

So I take it they haven't had a shot of Bob Bradley yet? :D

I won't gloat if we win and I wish England the best of luck. I'm nervous and excited.

Don't think he should start. I'm a big fan of Joe Hart and I think he's superior to Green and James.

Lennon's starting so I can't wait for our fullbacks to get sliced up.

Heskey ..... the yanks must be sat terrified in their dressingroom .

I really hope the lads just play really well and show some creativity and skill . The yanks are just a bigger , stronger ,fitter version of us so I am not expecting a classic , maybe a few knocks and injuries though .

I think its a shame for Hart but im not surprised its Green.

Im not convinced he is international class but as he is in the shop window its a good chance for him to win a big move.

Unless Milner's playing centrally it looks like a fairly simple 4-4-2. I've liked the system of a lone striker supported by Rooney, Gerrard and Lennon so this could prove interesting.

Still, it is Fabio Capello who knows slightly more than me about football.

It's not actually 'confirmed' as being Green.
Radio 5 are saying they have a whisper it will be Hart instead of James and no mention of Green...!!!
(BBC website just has Green down as a 'rumour'!)

If that is the starting line-up then I am pleased. It has a good balance to it.

    Rumored US lineup:

    Howard
    Bocanegra
    Onyewu
    DeMerit
    Cherundolo
    Dempsey
    Clark
    Bradley
    Donovan
    Altidore
    Findlay

Why the hell is DeMerit starting? Also can't believe Findlay is starting over Edson Buddle. Findlay is all speed and no finish.

    Other than that no surprises.

Well much as i distrust Talksport they are putting it across as fact rather than the usual "Talksport sources suggest......." which is usually what they say when its a load of lies!! :D
