WordPress Photos Dilema

Can anyone advise of a plugin for wordpress that will allow me to add photos, create a thumbnail and have information beside it but also allow for link to another webpage or video?
I have looked through a few of them but they are tailored to the family photo album or linking to facebook which is not what I'm after.
Basically I am using WP to make a fast and good looking website in a short timeframe. Not really for a blog. I will be uploading lots of pics of various locations which will have some info about the place and a thumbnail to click on either to see the larger image or to link to a video or another part of the site, if that makes sense.
Sounds like it should be simple enough. But no luck so far. None of them tick all those boxes.
