Sky Sports F1 - Testing Coverage
As it stands, Sky are not screening testing live. With everything, though, of course that could change - there may be more demand than expected, the 'story' of testing may justify live coverage later on... who knows. But, currently, no live coverage is scheduled for Sky Sports F1.

What is scheduled is as follows:
    - live reports on Sky Sports News with Rachel Brookes/Craig Slater
    - testing round-up every weeknight at 21:00 on SSF1, with Ted's Notebook at 21:15

Have added that, although it follows straight after the round-up, so if you're watching the round-up, you shouldn't miss the Notebook.

    New thread. I didn't notice. Thanks D.M.N.

I nearly posted in 2012 part 5. Because it was still open. I don't know if that's a problem or not.

Oh great Gp2 and Gp3 is on sky.
I thought it was mentioned on here that this wasn't happening anymore
I really enjoyed GP2/3 last year with great commentary from Will Buxton and Jerome. Hope that Will is still providing the commentary.

The 9pm slot and Ted's notebook looks brill, look forward to that, thanks for sharing.
Not sure live testing would really be good viewing, has anyone ever shown this live?

Good to see the new thread, feels like the new season must be close.
Anyway, I know history and tradition dictate the name of the thread, but why is it called The Verdict?
Surely we cannot have a verdict until all the evidence has been presented.

    Just asking. :D

Just out of interest, does anyone know which year was the "busiest" in terms of the number of posts in the verdict threads?

Nice new thread, hey everyone :D

I was going to respond to the comment about Suzi Perry "whispering" but surely there's no need for her to be presenting in an over-excited style, I mean, it's just the car launch and many of the parts you see won't be on there for the first race. As a fan of Moto GP I'm looking forward to seeing her present F1.

D.M.N. - you've got the Sky F1 channel as channel 406 in your OP, is it changing from 408?

Interesting, I guess the higher figures are down to the BBC v Sky debates :D

Thanks for the new thread D.M.N. Feels like the new season always starts with our new thread :)

Sky Sports F1 will also be available via Now TV, rumoured to be launching in March.

Has there been any more news on which channel in the UK will show Indycar this season?

Tag, looking forward to 2013 :)

Just a shame that I think highlights viewers will have to miss out on more coverage this season due to the longer races being cut down.

Yes, it's moving to 406 from tomorrow!

Just to add my thanks to D.M.N. for his superb organisational skills - opening a new thread and getting all key information in one, easy to find, place.

I actually thought that there was a lot more comments early last year, but the amount of comments dropped as the year went on, mainly in the latter part of the year.

In terms of total hits for this thread:

    - 2010 - 1.07 million views
    - 2011 - 1.09 million views
    - 2012 - 1.38 million views

    Pretty astonishing, really.

Unfortunately not, not looking good.... same applies to WRC.

I think we may see a fair slump this year. The fury over the BBC/Sky thing is gone now. I reckon we will return in line with 2011/2010. Do you have stats going further back? Or is that to much of an ask. Don't worry if it is.

Still it's a popular thread. The Ratings Thread in the TV section must be massive because it just keeps going every day.

I doubt you could get any stats on this, but I remember the thread being particularly popular when ITV put practice online for the first time.
