Also just watched Noah tonight I gave it a 5 out of 10.
The best bit was when the flood came.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). I have an allergy to Wes Andersons films, i keep trying new ones, but its always the same thing. I can't understand how this is better than any of his others, Rushmore Tennenbaums ( possibly different as it is even more awful than the rest, a lot more ) etc. All this claptrap about "his best yet", i got suckered into thinking maybe it might be.

Godzilla (2014) God help us is more like it. Excruciatingly awful. 2/10.

"The City of Lost Children" - 1995 freaky French film which it would seem was the Blueprint for Steampunk much like Bladerunner was the blueprint for dystopian Sci-fi and other such sci-fi.

If you have played Dishonoured the visuals are exactly the same and there is a hint of Bioshock in the film too. Obviously, the games were influenced by the film...or in the case of Dishonoured basically nicked the whole design...but good on them...

Benji the Hunted [1987]. Director: Joe Camp

    4/10

Dull Disney dog movie with a plot that could have been written on the back of a postage stamp.

Under The Skin - Interesting but hollow art house thriller with Scarlett Johansson.

The Woman in Black - 5/10 Hammer horror?!...Meh..was an average haunted house flick, just a bit tired. Although Daniel Radcliffe was surprisingly good, he seemed to age through it. Ending was a bit naff..just our opinion though! A 'nice' scary movie I suppose!

    THE RAID - 8/10 (subbed)
nice and tight kickheadin thriller with a genuine leading man, but sometimes it wavers in the story, but it was a good start to a continuing story .....

    HOWEVER

    THE RAID 2 - 6/10 (dubbed)
that good start was almost RUINED by an overlong opening of the world, a utterly pointless sub story that wastes probably the second best character from the first movie and giving him back story that has NO relevance either .....

and that leading to more original henchmen that was UNDER developed, only giving them scant story for the audience to work with ..... least the main guy was great, a little powder keg of movement and killer instinct, apparently was a replacement for that wasted second best character, and the fight was superb and bloody!

like i said, over reaching stories and characters who are scattered to the winds without as much as a by or leave almost ..... ALMOST ..... make this sequel pointless!

oh yeah, i watched the DUBBED version, which made it worse

if you want to watch a truly epic story watch OLDBOY .....

Watched two in the last couple of days - When a Stranger Calls 1979 and Twin Towns (a jolly good laugh it is too).
