Hi. Getting sky fibre installed end of month and need advice.
My main socket is in hallway and want sky hub in front room.
Can I use home plugs between the open reach modem and the sky hub.
Thanks in advance.

for Sky Fibre you require 2 boxes to get connected - Openreach modem and Sky Hub.
You can use homeplugs for this connection but there are, surprisingly, some claimed issues over reduction of sync speeds for the FTTC connection when using homeplugs even though the homeplugs arent actually carrying the VDSL signal http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fibre/t/4206253-home-plugs-lowering-snr-margin.html
But, of course, you can simply use a cat5 ethernet cable - do you not have a cable already running between these two points to currently extend the telephone connection?
